Recipe
Ouma Sannie Pasta
My great gran's spaghetti bolognaise: a mince and tomato sauce with cheese melted through at the end, and a firm family favourite.
Why is it called Ouma Sannie Pasta?
It's really spaghetti bolognaise, but in South Africa "Ouma" means granny, and this was my great gran's recipe. In our family nobody calls it spaghetti bolognaise. It has always been Ouma Sannie pasta.
The recipe started with my great gran. My gran kept making it, then my mom did, and it has become a family favourite. I've translated it here from the original Afrikaans.
